Erasmus+ KA210-SCH project

The Erasmus+ KA210-SCH project, ‘Tu Mejor Versión’ (Your Best Version), promoted by partners from Spain and Romania, embodies the spirit of social and educational innovation to tackle the exclusion of adolescents.

Its essence is simple but powerful: Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the key to youth resilience and social inclusion. The project is based on the premise that a lack of self-awareness and emotional management isolates young people.

‘Your Best Version’ seeks to empower the educational community to combat school dropout and vulnerability by offering teachers and adolescents practical tools to:

and reduce bullying.

of at-risk young people, transforming their vulnerability into a personal and social strength.

Emotional self-care

In short, the project encourages emotional self-care to become the main way for teenagers to build their own path towards full participation in society.

Goals:

  1. Improve teachers’ professional skills
  2. Provide theoretical and practical knowledge to adolescents at risk of exclusion on emotional areas that directly influence both their personal and academic lives
  3. Develop socio-emotional skills in a theoretical and practical way in adolescents at risk of exclusion.
  4. Raise awareness of the importance of emotional intelligence in adolescents at risk of exclusion in their role in achieving inclusion in society.

The project recognises that a lack of emotional skills is a key factor in youth vulnerability. It therefore focuses on a two-pronged approach:

Empowering Educators

Providing teachers with the tools and skills to manage EI, enabling them to become effective mentors and detect the risk of exclusion in their students.

Equipping Young People with Skills

Offering at-risk adolescents practical knowledge and techniques for managing their emotions, which has a direct impact on their academic performance and personal well-being.

The ultimate goal is Awareness

Demonstrating that EI is the most direct path to social inclusion. The project seeks to transform vulnerability into strength, making self-awareness and empathy the foundations for each adolescent to build their ‘Best Version’ in European society.
